An organization that has become incredibly meaningful to us is the Market Street Mission.
For those unfamiliar, Market Street Mission serves individuals and families experiencing homelessness and poverty in New Jersey. They provide free daily meals, emergency shelter for men experiencing homelessness, and a comprehensive, long-term Christian addiction recovery program called Life Change that includes 12-step work, individual and group counseling, education, and job training. They also distribute clothing, coats, and groceries to families in need through their community charity work. They currently operate facilities in Morristown, Newton, Paterson, and Asbury Park.
We've chosen to support Market Street Mission both financially and through volunteering because we've seen firsthand the transformative impact of their work. The Mission serves thousands of meals each year and provides shelter nights to residents and emergency guests. Their Life Change program has graduated hundreds of men who have successfully rebuilt their lives through the grace and mercy of God. They believe that:
"No one is broken beyond repair, and no life is unable to be restored."
